The concert title is inspired by her recent movie hit and is called: “Annebisyosa No Other Concert World Tour.” Her album turned platinum in a span of less than three months after release. The “Showtime” host was overwhelmed by the support given by the “madlang pipol” – as they fondly called the audience of this Kapamilya noontime show.

Anne developed her confidence to sing on stage because of the daily sample segments held in “Showtime.” It was her dream to have an album and also to have a concert, and it seems that all things are slowly unfolding.

She said in a recent press release that people must expect the best with regards to the production. She then reveals that she has her brains on with the concept of all the production numbers and the designs for her costumes.

“Basta ginagamitan ko na talaga ng bongga yung imagination ko dito just to give the best kasi kung ano nga yung kakulangan ng boses ko, ibibigay ko na lang sa lahat ng production number at outfits ko. Kaya abangan nyo yan!” This was Anne’s statement as she admits the limitations on her voice but she promises to make it up with her vivacious numbers and her grandiose costume changes.

The people who would be behind her concert will be Rico Gutierrez as the Director with Marvin Querido as musical director; and is produced by Viva Concerts as Anne is under the management of Viva.

Georcelle Dapat, the ASAP Rocks choreographer will also work for her concert. Georcelle said in that TV Patrol interview that she knew this time would come that Anne would soon be given the chance to do her solo concert in Araneta. She also said that Anne is no longer just a goddess on TV but she is now also a concert goddess.

Anne Curtis will be joined on stage by “Showtime” co-host and real life close friend, Vice Ganda with ASAP colleague and Popstar princess, Sarah Geronimo. Anne assures the concert goers that the show will cause them to smile and be entertained through the best she can do. She then adds: “ngayon ay handa na raw siyang lumipad, tumiwarik, magsayaw, at siyempre kumanta.”

But with all these success that she has now gained, she still looks back to the “madlang pipol” who made her step up to the best she can be.

Just recently, when Nora Aunor made her steps for her comeback to the show business, got some thumbs down from anti-smoking advocates. This was due to her vogue-like pose in the cover photo of YES Magazine with the superstar holding a cigar. She has captured the limelight yet in the wrong way as a Catholic priest commented. Philippine Medical Association (PMA) has also spoken their piece regarding artists to act as role models and not project bad values and vices, like the hazardous smoking.
The group has been disappointed for the act but I think this draws the line between art and advocacy. Though art could be an effective means for advocacy, still the freedom to express prevails, from which art is a perfect avenue to express. With this the magazine’s editor-in-chief defended the cover photo and pointed that it only depicts who Nora is as of the present: a free-spirited and more liberated artist as she breaks her silence on issues regarding her sexuality, her children and a lot more. But in the end, the editor attested full support to the no-smoking campaign. As of the latest, Nora also promised to quit her smoking in due time, as it has caused her health to breakdown and she confirmed to be one of the advocates for the smoke free Philippines campaign as soon as she quits.

I can understand the arguments by both parties but in the end, I give my vote for the sake of art and expression. Celebrities are more like instruments used to convey to the public a thought or an idea from a producer, a director or maybe from a writer. They are still humans in the first place and they deserve to be given freedom to act as such. But in the case of a photograph, a magazine cover for an instance, it doesn’t mean they project an image of a smoker, are now automatically bad examples, not good role models to the general public. There could be many ways to express freedom but with a cigar, it poses a rainbow of symbolisms and it connotes such meaning as soon as a reader looks at the cover.

A magazine cover can neither defeat the advocacy on no-smoking as they dread that children may look at it as a good practice than a bad habit. Still, the influence of parents could be more effective than any form of media these children were exposed.

As I have said earlier, criticisms are inevitable to showbiz personalities, young or the old. Young actress and Showtime host, Anne Curtis also got some negative comments still from the anti-smoking advocates for her photo in another magazine cover. Same as with Nora’s, but this time, Anne humbly apologizes to those for her were offended and said it was unintentional. She did not expect that the photo would be picked for the cover. However, the young actress repeatedly stressed that she does not smoke in real life and with that, Anne said she does not promote smoking.

It’s really hard to be a public figure but as with Anne, she has been a good role model for the youth and as with Nora, she has been a good mother to her children. It could be a good time to give them a break, from the hassles of intrigues and controversies caused only by a photograph, a magazine cover to be specific.

One question still rings in my mind and it goes like this: Does the word celebrity correspond to being a role model? I think it’s a big no. Anyways, they are humans, who are not perfect and will never be one. As long our society gives in to these vices such as smoking, alcoholic drinking, illegal drugs and gambling, any advocacy campaign would never succeed. The home is still the best place to educate children on the right and wrong acts. Yes, media in any form could be more powerful, but parents could be more convincing to their children, as long as they do project themselves as good role models, and not depend on drama personalities to act it out for them.

The movie shows a modern tale of true love put into test between Sharmaine (Cristine Reyes), an almost perfect wife and Ram (Derek Ramsey), a faithful husband who later gives in to a temptation. The eve-like personality of Cara, played by no less than Anne Curtis, is the tempter, who is a happy-go-lucky New York schooled playgirl. Cara does not believe in true love for in her lifetime, she has not found one. For her, a relationship is like a game and boys are not worth a fight. But things changed when she found affection which later on develops into passion and love for Ram.

Sharmaine and Cara, the two main female characters in the story have their own share of turning points. The good housewife changes her outlook and decides to project a stronger personality after she has finally caught her husband who broke his promise of having no other woman aside from her. She finally sets her feet into her stilettos and gets herself ready to defend her marriage. On the other hand, the mistress in denial, Cara also in the end realizes that she is truly in love with Derek. She had to accept in that she was just a part of the dark past of a man who wanted to satisfy his wild fantasies.

Ram does not escape emotional struggles as with his dad, whom he hates most. The root of his hate was when his father left their home for another woman during his college days. The hate feeling later led him to imitate his father by engaging in a third party, and it was too late when he realized.

Yet in the end as they say, true love prevails. A mistress’ love for the married man, made her to realize that love was not a game and was not made just for fun. The wife also shows her unconditional love for her husband as she gave up her pride and went to the hospital after his husband caught a vehicular accident.

No Other Woman also shows the acting prowess of Anne and Christine who played their roles in precision and both deserve an acting award.

Anne Curtis is a mermaid here and this will be the bet of ABS-CBN to GMA-7′s Dyesebel. And according to telebisyon.net she will have four characters in this new series. She will be the goddess of earth, land, water and fire. She is not only a mermaid but also a centaur, eagle and a human.

Hmmnnn…I am a fan of Aga Muhlach and Anne Curtis actually in their on respective ways. Started to love Aga on his movie Kailangan Kita opposite Claudine Barretto. Love Anne because she looks like Angelina (so it means she is absolutely beautiful) and her sweetness (Feeling close).

From the trailer itself, I could see that it has a nice story and romantic at the same time. I am excited about the kissing scene and love scene. Hehehehhehee….I wonder how it feels to be kissing someone who is 15 years older than you. Yeah cause Anne is 23 and Aga is 38. But then again, Aga still looks young and hot.

Anyway, kitakits sa sinehan. I don’t know if i will watch it on April 30 but definitely I will watch the When Love Begins.
